EpiTest

What is EpiTest?

EpiTest is a tool for the exact characterisation of cells and cell batches.

EpiTest can be used for

• Cell typing (determination of cell type identity)
• Cell staging (i.e., following cell differentiation)
• Quantification (determining cell purity)
• Detection of contaminations

Epi Test is the ideal quality control tool for cell cultures, in particular in regenerative medicine applications providing for regulatory demands and internal control during research, development and manufacturing.

• highly sensitive signal is amplified by PCR
• fast, easy and inexpensive runs on standard lab equipment

Furthermore, intellectual property on methylation markers and test kits can be protected.

How to get EpiTest?

The test kit will be customized to our partners’ demands and will contain all necessary consumables. EpiTest can be performed conveniently on standard laboratory instrumentation.

For each test development with a partner, Epiontis performs the following steps upon receipt of the appropriate samples:

1. Marker discovery
2. Marker validation
3. Assay development

The entire process takes 12 to 18 months. Subsequently, the customized EpiTest can be routinely applied for our partner’s quality control.
