Dr. Sven Olek
Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Sven received a B.Sc. from the Imperial College of Science, Technology, and Medicine in London, UK and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Heidelberg in Germany. He did postdoctoral research at the University of Heidelberg and at R.W. Johnson Pharmaceutical Research Institute in San Diego, USA. Sven is co-inventor on the patent forming the basis of the intellectual property of Epiontis.
Dr. Ulrich Hoffmueller, MBA

Ulrich received a Diploma (Masters) in Biochemistry in 1995 from Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany. He earned a Ph.D. at the Charite University Clinic in Berlin in 1998 and was honored with the Charite Research Award in 1997. Ulrich completed business school in Berlin and Cambridge, UK from 2002 to 2004. Prior to founding Epiontis, he worked at Jerini AG in Berlin from 1999 to 2003, most recently as Director of Business Development.
Michael Weber
Chief Financial Officer
Michael studied Chemistry at Technical University Dresden (Diploma) from 1980 to 1985 and held an Assistant Professor position from 1985 to 1990. From 1990 to 1994 he was member of the State Parliament of Saxony and held several positions at the City Council of Leipzig. From 1993 to 1999 Michael was Managing Director of the Municipal Holding Management and Consulting Company BBVL in Leipzig. Since 1999 Michael was Managing Partner and since 2002 he is CEO of BRIDGES Consulting Group AG in Berlin. In May 2005, Michael was appointed Chief Financial Officer at Epiontis, a position he pursues alongside his activities at BRIDGES.
